How can one can walk through life with a changed past, and how does one interact with a new internal voice moving forward? These are metaphors of the brain, and the words of people who are survivors of brain damage.

Altered Memory works to create an immersive audio-visual environment in which space is reconstructed and redefined through and by physical objects as well as visual metaphors of the brain and how it is affected when damage is done to it. Specifically, we are looking at damage that alters one's memory. Along with abstract virtual and physical imagery, we use the words of people who are survivors of brain damage. We explore how one can walk through life with a changed memory of the past, as well as how one interacts with a new internal voice, moving forward.
