ENCOUNTER
Video Installation | Medium: Wood, Mirror, Arduino, Stepper Motor
"Encounter" represents a poignant moment where two spirits—father and child—symbolically meet. Wrapped in the unresolved grief of my father's death in 1988, I revisit the painful memory of his final moments. Before slipping into unconsciousness, he called out for my help repeatedly, which I was not able to respond. Through the installation, I have confronted these traumatic memories, allowing me finally answer him inwardly. The work culminates in a symbolic convergence of the two portraits, meeting and reconciling within the transformative glow of light.
